ICBC & WorkSafeBC: your questions

Do I really pay nothing?+
For accepted ICBC and WorkSafeBC claims, your treatment is covered with no out-of-pocket cost up to your approved amounts. We bill the insurer directly. If any treatment exceeds your coverage, we'll always tell you before it happens.
Do I need a lawyer or an adjuster’s approval to start?+
No. Under ICBC's Enhanced Care model, injured people are pre-approved for an initial set of treatments and can begin care right away. You do not need a lawyer, and you don't need to wait for an adjuster to start treatment.
What if I don’t have a claim number yet?+
That's okay. Contact us and we'll guide you through reporting your accident to ICBC and getting set up. For workplace injuries, we'll help you coordinate with your WorkSafeBC claim.
How soon after my accident should I come in?+
As soon as you're able. Early treatment leads to better outcomes and helps document your injury for your claim. Even if symptoms feel minor at first, an assessment is worthwhile.
